How can I stand as a candidate? When am I eligible to vote and what are the deadlines for next year's election? These and other questions were answered by the City of Offenbach's election team at the most recent meeting of the Foreigners' Advisory Council. "The Foreigners' Advisory Council is an important voice for our international urban society," says Abdelkader Rafoud, Chairman of the Foreigners' Advisory Council. "This service and the consultations in the citizens' office are important so that everyone can prepare for the election in the best possible way."
Offenbach has had a directly elected Foreigners' Advisory Council since 1987. The main tasks of the committee members are the political representation of interests in city politics and integration work. The Foreigners' Advisory Council represents the interests and concerns of Offenbach's foreign citizens.
