Offenbach defect detector remains the first choice for Offenbach residents

10.02.2023 – A system is currently being introduced in Hesse that can be used to report defects in public spaces. The city of Offenbach am Main has already been offering this service to citizens for eleven years: the city's own defect reporting app.

The cooperation project between the city of Offenbach am Main and the Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft Offenbach (GBO) receives almost 20 reports a day about piles of bulky waste, broken playground equipment or broken kerbs. The reports reach the "Clean Offenbach" staff unit and the public order office. From there, they are passed on to the relevant specialist departments. The users receive feedback as soon as the case has been dealt with.

"The fact that we have established a well-functioning system is reflected in the ever-increasing use of the defect reporter. Last year, we already received more than 7,000 reports in the city's reporting system, particularly as a result of the neighborhood tours. The first choice for Offenbach residents is therefore the city's defect reporter," explains Paul-Gerhard Weiß, Head of Public Order.

At the same time, the city has ensured that the Offenbach defect reporter is linked to the application of the state of Hesse. Information submitted there is technically forwarded to Offenbach. The City of Offenbach's deficiency report is based on the platform of the Darmstadt-based company "wer denkt was GmbH". The City of Offenbach am Main has already programmed the interface to the state defect reporter.

The best way to report defects to the Offenbach defect reporter is via the app. The link below provides the links for downloading from the various platforms.

The advantage of using the app is that the exact location can be determined directly via the GPS signal, enabling a quick response.
