Disturbance of the peace

The municipal police had to respond to 29 incidents, two of which were in the commercial sector.

Helpless persons

The municipal police organized help for 19 people. One person was admitted to the psychiatric ward of the Sana Hospital due to mental health problems.

A man reported as helpless was uncooperative towards a patrol. A check revealed that an arrest warrant had been issued for the man, which is why the city police arrested him.

One person was no longer responsive due to his high alcohol consumption. Even before the ambulance arrived, another man questioned the assistance measures, accused the patrol of arbitrariness and behaved aggressively. It was only when he was ordered to leave and threatened with coercive measures that he came to his senses. The emergency services took care of the intoxicated person and took him to hospital.

Traffic

The traffic police recorded a total of 254 speeding vehicles at 49 measuring points and initiated appropriate proceedings.

A warning or fine was issued to 2896 vehicles for parking violations or other traffic violations in stationary traffic.

The city police recorded 49 requests from the registration office to de-stamp uninsured vehicles.

In addition to the warnings issued by the traffic police, the municipal police were deployed in 35 cases of acute traffic offences. These included, in particular, parking offenders in disabled parking spaces, in front of fire department access roads, on the weekly market site or in temporary no-stopping zones for construction work, tree-cutting measures and removals, for example. She had 23 vehicles towed away.

Security / preventive controls

The city police carried out a follow-up check at a drinks store that had already attracted attention several times and once again found over 127,000 cans without deposit seals.

This week, a woman was worried about her neighbor, whom she had not seen for some time. The woman asked the city police for help. The woman's concern turned out to be justified: The patrol found the deceased man in his apartment.

A four-year-old was taken to the city police station and handed over to her father a short time later. The father had previously reported to the police that the child had left the house unnoticed.

Three other panicked women reported to the city police station because a five-year-old boy had escaped. They were relieved to learn that the child was already safe and sound in police custody.

Neighbors reported a woman screaming loudly in her apartment and suggesting that she wanted to jump out of the window. The emergency services made contact with her via the closed door and arranged for her to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

A man shouted and rioted in front of a kiosk until he also had to be taken into custody.

A man reported as a rowdy neighbor was in a state of mental distress. A patrol was able to calm the situation down with calm persuasion. The neighbors came to an agreement.

Several raccoon cubs that had escaped from their nest and had become stuck in a gutter were caught by the fire department and handed over to the hunting tenant.

The state police searched for a vehicle whose driver had hit a cyclist, offered him money and then committed a hit-and-run. The city police found the driver and his car in the city and handed him over to the state police.

A guest who did not want to leave a restaurant prompted the landlord to call the city police. Despite a calm approach, the situation escalated and the man was forcibly removed from the pub.

A woman reported to the city police station and said that her companion was stalking her. The man appeared unsuspecting but could not produce any valid residence papers. He was handed over to the state police.

While searching for a lost dog, a patrol came across a violent argument between two ex-partners. The arguing parties were separated.

Witnesses reported rowdy youths on a bus on route 104. A patrol stopped the bus. The youths had presumably come to blows after an insult, but did not want to give any details.

A twelve-year-old boy was riding his sister's e-scooter with a friend. Due to the double occupancy and the lack of an insurance license plate, the city police stopped the scooter. The two boys were handed over to their legal guardians.

In addition, the municipal police carried out two dog checks, one school route check, four enforcements of domestic authority, one expulsion order and five support measures to protect private rights. They settled disputes in seven cases. In five cases of criminal offenses, it was first on the scene and initiated initial measures before the state police took over.

In total, the municipal police recorded 216 operations this week.

Investigations and lost property

The municipal police carried out a number of residence investigations at the request of public offices and authorities. This primarily involves checks on cohabiting couples and cases in which urgent official mail could not be delivered due to a missing letterbox and/or doorbell.
