Disturbance of the peace

The city police recorded 50 operations due to disturbances of the peace.

Helpless persons

This week, the city police were called to 18 helpless people. As in previous weeks, the main reason was usually excessive alcohol consumption. The city police called an ambulance in nine cases.

The city police came across a confused elderly lady at the main railway station. After the emergency services established the woman's identity, they took her to her apartment for further care. There, the municipal police ascertained the address of the care service and the caregiver. The care service then took over the woman's care.

During a check, a patrol encountered a person lying on the floor. Due to her alcohol level, the person had fallen on her head and sustained a laceration. During the operation, another person, who was also heavily intoxicated and complaining of stomach pains, turned up. As the ambulance was already on site for the first person, the second person could also be treated.

An intoxicated person was sleeping in the bushes. However, this person was responsive and did not require any further assistance.

Traffic

This week, the traffic police recorded 121 vehicles speeding at 26 measuring points and initiated corresponding proceedings.

A warning or fine was issued to 2,999 vehicles for parking offences or other traffic violations in stationary traffic.

The city police recorded 53 requests from the registration office for uninsured vehicles to be unstamped.

In addition to the warnings issued by the traffic police, the municipal police were deployed in 32 cases of acute traffic offences. These included, in particular, parking offenders in disabled parking spaces, in front of fire department access roads, on the weekly market site or in temporary no-stopping zones set up for construction work, tree-cutting measures and removals, among other things. The city police had 21 vehicles towed away.

Following an incoming report of an oil slick, an extensive diesel slick was found in one street. The responsible company removed the oil spill.

A washing machine was blocking a roadway. The municipal police cleared it away and reported it to the waste disposal department.

Security / preventive controls

The city police encountered youths in a brawl. One of the people was injured in the right eye, which is why the police called in an ambulance. The person responsible for the injury could not be identified.

Unknown persons lit a small fire in a playground, which was extinguished by a patrol.

The city police found a man lying on the ground. He behaved aggressively towards the emergency services. As the man refused to leave the scene, the municipal police ordered him to leave.

The municipal police found five people in a house that is no longer approved for residential use. After the people completely vacated their possessions on the instructions of the municipal police and left the house, the municipal police sealed the house.

The municipal police assisted with a hygiene investigation in a beauty salon. Several products were seized due to hygiene violations.

The municipal police discovered unauthorized quantities of narcotics when checking a suspicious person and handed the person over to the police.

An intoxicated person behaved very aggressively towards a patrol. The officers had to handcuff the person in order to calm him down. The municipal police released the person after establishing their personal details.

The municipal police called paramedics because two people had been injured in a fight. The two people had to be separated from each other, which is why two ambulances were requested.

The municipal police received a report of an alleged shoplifting. The person involved was a woman who had hidden the stolen goods on her body. A criminal complaint was filed.

An alleged disturbance of the peace turned out to be "beeping noises" from the security systems (detectors) of a supermarket. After the city police contacted the store's security company, the noises were switched off.

The city police noticed a driver driving in an unsafe manner. At a junction, the driver disregarded a traffic sign and drove into the oncoming lane. The patrol then stopped the vehicle. The man stated that he was not familiar with the area. The man took a voluntary alcohol test, which showed 0.07 per mille. However, as the man's pupils were dilated and he made a nervous impression overall, the officers offered a voluntary urine test. The man replied that this "would not go well for him" and then admitted to having consumed cocaine about an hour earlier. When the police officers asked the man if he had any narcotics on him, the man voluntarily handed over the cocaine and amphetamine he was carrying. A search of the man did not lead to any further finds. The municipal police then took the man to the police station for further measures.

In three cases, the city police were deployed to enforce house rules. Five playground checks and one expulsion were carried out. In total, the city police registered over 200 operations this week.
