Disturbance of the peace
There were a total of 42 disturbances of the peace this week. There were 26 at the weekend alone, one of which involved domestic violence. This led to the violent partner being charged by the Hesse state police.
Traffic
The traffic service set up 16 different measuring points: There were 150 speeding violations.
A total of 1707 vehicles received warnings for parking in the wrong place or other traffic violations.
The city police had to tow away 17 vehicles because they were parked in a way that significantly impeded traffic.
This week, 39 new vehicles were registered for unstamping.
There was an increase in violations involving so-called small electric vehicles. E-scooters may only be used from the age of 14 and riding in pairs is prohibited. The vehicles also require an insurance license plate. Driving without such a license plate is punishable by law and can lead to the revocation of a driver's license or other severe penalties
The Erich Kästner School was the focus of this week's school route inspection.
Helpless persons
The city police assisted eight people in need of help, some of whom had to be treated by an ambulance service or taken by patrols to a clinic or their home.
Bite incident / listed dogs
The municipal police were once again deployed in a biting incident. A passer-by had to be treated by the emergency services and was taken to hospital. The public order office will check the owner and dog.
The municipal police followed up on two reports about the keeping of so-called list dogs (dogs that are considered dangerous due to their breed), which also led to a complaint in one case.
Residence investigations
The municipal police carried out a total of 39 residence investigations for other authorities. This primarily involved the verification of marital cohabitation through to cases in which mail for important summonses could not be delivered.
Damage to property
Thanks to attentive colleagues, a patrol discovered a young man in Bremer Straße / Langener Straße who had kicked off the wing mirrors of several vehicles. They arrested the young offender immediately and handed him over to the state police.

Homeless people
Outside of the city council's opening hours, the city police also help people in need. This week, they helped three people to find temporary accommodation.
Trade inspections
During planned inspections of three restaurants, the city police discovered seven administrative offenses under commercial law. There were also three violations of the Gaming Ordinance and two illegal gambling machines were found.
One snack bar had to be sealed due to significant hygiene deficiencies in the kitchen.
Wild garbage
The city police are investigating two cases of large quantities of car tires being dumped in the city area.
The illegal dumping of other waste is the responsibility of the public order office and can be reported during business hours by calling 069 8065-4747.

Events / Meetings
This week, police patrols also kept an eye on the campaign stands of various parties due to the Hessian state elections. In some cases, there were clear differences of opinion between supporters of the registered parties. In two cases, the city police had to intervene to mediate.
The match between Offenbacher Kickers and FSC Freiberg went off without a hitch. The OFC won 2:0.
Witnesses for searches
As municipal employees, the municipal and traffic police officers also act as search witnesses for the state police in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure. In the case of police searches carried out at short notice, this fulfills the legal right to call in independent witnesses. One patrol officer attended two different police searches as a witness.
Lost property
When the lost and found office was closed, the city police took custody of a total of 12 items.
Foot patrol
The city police spent many hours on foot patrol in the pedestrian zone, focusing on Aliceplatz, Komm Center Offenbach and the surrounding schools, where they again received a number of complaints.
