Rosenhöhe swimming pool closed for the time being
25.02.2026 – The Rosenhöhe swimming pool must remain closed for the time being due to safety deficiencies in the interim showers that emerged yesterday evening. This was decided on Tuesday evening by the operator of the swimming pool, best OF swim GmbH.
OPG Offenbacher Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Offenbach, which is responsible for the renovation work at the swimming pool, is on site and is pursuing a dual strategy with the contractual partner: on the one hand, it is working hard with the manufacturer of the containers to resolve the problem quickly in a cooperative manner. The aim is to clarify in the course of today how this defect can be rectified so that the swimming pool can be reopened as quickly as possible.
Solution to be found quickly
At the same time, OPG has now issued another notice of defects to the contractual partner regarding the containers in order to clearly signal that the city is not prepared to accept such a reduced performance. At the moment, the contractual partner is cooperating.
The aim is to find a quick solution for the swimming pool users, but one that is paid for by the company responsible.
Shower container to replace decommissioned infrastructure building
The old infrastructure buildings of the swimming pool with the sanitary facilities and changing rooms are in serious need of renovation, the pipes have already been shut down and the buildings are to be demolished.
Mobile shower containers have been set up as a replacement. So far, the companies have not delivered the service for which they are paid. The flooring in both the men's and women's shower containers is coming loose, creating a tripping hazard.
