Swim & Run competition

Swim & Run is a multi-sport in which the disciplines of first swimming and then running are combined as a non-stop competition, i.e. without a break.

Time is therefore taken from the start and ends at the finish.

Any pupil from Offenbach schools in grades 2 to 7 can take part. Schools from other towns are not eligible to take part.

There are 500 starting places available. Early registration guarantees a starting place.

Teachers can obtain the starting documents with the starting number from the ORGA-TEAM (T-shirts). The starting documents will be available from 8 am.

Please ensure that your first name, surname, year of birth and gender are spelled correctly, as this information will also be printed on the certificates and will be used to classify age groups.

The start lists, course graphics, course descriptions, age groups, timetable and course lengths are displayed at the EOSC office building.

The start number is written on both upper arms with a waterproof pen. Pens are available from the race number issuing office.

Please no parents, teachers or other help during the competition. Each child should be able to get changed on their own.

You should leave the things you need here at least 15 minutes before your start. Together with the group leader (squad) of the starting group (time), place the towel, sports shoes and shirt with the start number in the transition zone.

Remember your place so that you can find it quickly after the swim.

Pay attention to your start time.

Give your name to the supervisor on your lane so that it can be checked that all participants are present.

The lane allocation is done by the organization team.

Do not enter the water too early before the start so that you do not cool down.

There will be a water start - no jump start.

The start announcement will be made via microphone by the moderator:
1 minute - 30 seconds - 15 seconds - 10 seconds - then it counts down from 10, 9, 8 ... until the start call.

Important! Please always swim in the lane on the right so that you do not collide with oncoming participants. The breakwater line is therefore always closer to the right than to the left.

If you have problems swimming, hold on to the breakwater lines and call for help. We have special supervisors.

Once you have completed your swim, get out of the water and run to the transition area. Put on your shoes, T-shirt with race number and anything else you need.

You can leave your swimming goggles there - but pick them up again straight after the race so that they don't get lost. If you lose something and we find it, you can collect it from the lifeguards.

All children must wear closed sports shoes. Sandals and bathing shoes are not permitted when running.

The upper body must be covered and the race number must be attached to the front of the T-shirt.

Make sure that your race number is clearly visible on the front of your chest, especially at the finish line. Important for timekeeping!

Follow the course signs.

Overtaking in the finish area is not permitted!

Make sure that the helpers in the finish area hand over your race number to the timing system so that you appear in the results lists.

Please dress dry and warm immediately after the race.

You will receive mineral water and fruit at the finish area.

Please do not allow parents, supervisors, teachers etc. in this area.

The award ceremonies will take place directly after the last finish in the same age group. Please listen to the announcement.

Everyone will receive a certificate - the top three finishers in each age group (male and female) will also receive a medal.

Showers and sanitary facilities are sufficiently available on the grounds.

The event will take place in all weathers. The event must be interrupted in the event of thunderstorms.

The instructions of the marshals must be followed.

The organizer accepts no liability for the loss of objects and valuables.
