Color for the Kleewasem movement area: Children create colorful works of art
21.10.2025
Colorful, lively and full of energy: around 100 children transformed the "Kleewasem" construction site in Bieber Waldhof into a colorful event. Together with parents, families, an after-school group and representatives of the children's and youth parliament, they painted wooden posts that will serve as tripods to stabilize the trees as they grow in the area of the exercise trail.
Even before the official start at 4 p.m., the first children were eagerly awaiting the start. In sunny fall weather, many people accepted the city's invitation. After a lively start, the event quickly developed into a cheerful neighborhood get-together with a creative atmosphere.
Using brushes and paint, they created individual works of art that will adorn the new green space in the future. "It was a successful campaign in which children, parents and the whole neighborhood came together and actively helped shape the new district. We are delighted at how much joy and commitment was generated," said Paul-Gerhard Weiß, Head of Building.
While the children were painting, many parents took the opportunity to find out about the progress of the construction work - and some even picked up brushes and paint themselves. This turned the event into a real community experience.
The construction of the playground is progressing: fruit and wild fruit trees will be planted in the coming weeks. Completion and opening of the renovated playground and the new exercise area is planned for spring 2026.
Head of Construction Weiß thanks everyone involved for their support and great commitment: "Together, we have succeeded in filling the Kleewasem green space with color, creativity and community spirit."
