Place with lively club life
The district, which today has around 10,000 inhabitants and is connected to the Fechenheim side of the Main by the Arthur-von-Weinberg-Steg, has developed into a sought-after middle-class residential area with a good infrastructure, lively club life and a high recreational value thanks to its location in the Mainbogen. A new home for a further 1,100 residents is being built on its eastern edge.
The carnival stronghold "Burgilla" with its traditional street carnival is a lively district that has retained its own character and village charm, especially in its historic town center, where the old town festival is celebrated every year.
