Projects for Bieber and Bürgel town centers also possible in 2024

In 2023, the Old Town Festival in Bürgel, the Bürgel Market and the St. Nicholas Market in Bieber were financially supported from the disposal fund. Councillor Paul-Gerhard Weiß confirms: "The festivals revitalize the town centers and bring people together. That is precisely the aim of the disposal fund: to strengthen the town centers of Bieber and Bürgel through inspiring civic projects".

In 2024, the fund will once again be endowed with 20,000 euros to promote good ideas from citizens for the benefit of the town centers. On January 15, 2024, the local partnership decided to support the first projects. For example, the Bieber carnival parade on February 10, 2024 will be supported as a cultural highlight and the Bieber market, which will take place on June 9, 2024, will also receive funding. The Bieber trade association has already had the foresight to think about Christmas lighting and has received funding for five illuminated stars. This investment is entirely in keeping with the spirit of the local partnership, as in 2024 the focus of the disposition fund is to be placed more on projects with lasting inventions.

Further good ideas for the town centers of Bieber and Bürgel are therefore needed this year. There are virtually no limits to creativity. The broad spectrum of funding ranges from planting, equipment, play equipment, art and lighting to district festivals, cultural events, sustainability campaigns and much more. The decisive factor here is that the respective projects contribute to the enhancement and revitalization of the town centers. The Local Partnership will decide on the next applications for the Disposal Fund on February 20, 2024 in the Bieber district office (Aschaffenburger Straße 2).
