At the beginning of October, the Qurban office started work in the core area management "Mitte Machen" in the Bieber and Bürgel districts as part of the "Lebendige Zentren" urban development program. "The aim is to have a greater presence and to offer citizens a more direct and efficient point of contact for concerns and questions," says Paul-Gerhard Weiß, Head of Building and Planning, describing the new approach.
A central component of the new core area management are the regular opening hours and a weekly consultation hour, which will be offered in both districts with immediate effect. These allow interested parties to get in touch directly with the core area managers Marcus Schenk and Michael Englert in a personal meeting and discuss their concerns or suggestions for strengthening the town centers.
The consultation hours in Bürgel take place every Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm. The location and time will change once a fixed location has been found. This will be announced in good time via the "Mitte machen" homepage. In Bieber, consultation hours take place every Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Bieber district office at Aschaffenburger Straße 2.
The district office is also open on Tuesdays from 9 am to 1 pm and Wednesdays from 1 pm to 5 pm. Jose Hernandez welcomes people interested in the process and arranges the district office for private users. The former Offenbach carnival prince, who is well-known in the district, knows the local situation very well and establishes direct contact with clubs and groups in Bieber.
"We want to strengthen communication with the citizens. The regular consultation hours offer a valuable opportunity to talk directly on site and find solutions for local issues," says core area manager Marcus Schenk from the Qurban office.
