The little market on Goetheplatz
Every Thursday, a small producers' market now takes up position on Goetheplatz. Baked goods, cheese, sausage, fruit and vegetables await hungry and health-conscious customers and shoppers from the neighborhood from 3 to 8 pm. Here you can shop, get in touch with neighbors and enjoy life.
In 2015, the City of Offenbach's neighbourhood management team and the "Better living in Offenbach" project joined forces to address the issue of local supplies in Nordend and successfully campaigned for the establishment of a small supermarket. Since then, the market has been held every Thursday at the central Goetheplatz location.
The following market stalls are represented at the market:
- The Demeter farm "Dottenfelderhof" (opens in a new tab) from Bad Vilbel offers baked goods from its own production, a wide range of cheeses, milk and dairy products as well as a selection of other farm products.
- Landmetzgerei Kaufmann (opens in a new tab) sells Vogelsberg meat and sausage products from its own slaughterhouse and production. Hungry guests can also enjoy a barbecue here.
- Feinkost Paradies offers a large selection of Mediterranean antipasti, fresh cheese creams and seafood.
- Anne Schwarzfischer (Gärtnerei am Marienhof) has been there since May 2022: organic fruit and vegetables, cut flowers
- Federica's fresh pasta (every 14 days - even weeks): fresh pasta variations, cheese, sausage and seasonal specialties from Italy.
- Gudrun Arndt (every 14 days - odd weeks) - honey from Offenbach Bürgel
- The wine and whisky store "Genussverstärker" (opens in a new tab) located on Goetheplatz invites you to linger on market days with wine and craft beer. Whisky, gin, rum and other fine wines are on sale here. The chutneys, jams and sauces produced in Offenbach by the "Genusswolke" manufactory can also be purchased here.
- Cafe Tante Mina on market days in the Nordend district office.
Depending on the season, there are also other changing stalls at the market.
The neighborhood management also offers consultation hours from 4 to 6 pm.
