Saving water and energy

Gas is not only needed for heating, but also to generate electricity. Many cities and municipalities are significantly reducing their gas and electricity consumption. Citizens are called upon to save energy and water. Excessive consumption and low rainfall also make drinking water scarce.

  • 22.08.2023 Environment and climate
    Water as a raw material is becoming scarce. Quality controls are necessary to secure the water supply. Mayor Sabine Groß therefore visits the Offenbach water supply association.
  • 21.06.2023 Saving water and energy
    Even though it rained comparatively heavily in March and April, the groundwater level was unable to recover sustainably after years of drought.
  • 05.06.2023 Environment & Climate
    The newly introduced drinking water traffic light of the water supplier ZWO is yellow. The city is therefore asking the population to use drinking water sparingly.
