Moving is stressful and a lot of work - especially when you move to a new city. The City of Offenbach, Stadtwerke Offenbach Holding GmbH (SOH) and Energieversorgung Offenbach AG (EVO) want to change that. To this end, they have jointly created a digital relocation service to support future new residents of Offenbach with the entire organization of their move. "With the new relocation service, we are not just welcoming new residents. Rather, we want to make their start in our city as easy and pleasant as possible," says Offenbach's Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke.
"On our portal, we provide lots of helpful information on all questions relating to moving - even for those who are moving within Offenbach," explains EVO CEO Dr. Christoph Meier. In addition, the partners have provided important addresses, great tips and regional offers so that new residents can quickly find their way around Offenbach before and after their move.
To use the relocation service, all you need to do is register once at https://umzug.evo-ag.de (opens in a new tab) and enter the date of your move. "New residents can then receive email reminders of the important points and tasks involved in their move," says Christoph Meier. The emails cover the most important phases of the move, from planning and arrival at the new home to the first few weeks in Offenbach. This includes information on handing over the apartment, hiring tradesmen and removal companies and applying for a stopping zone for the removal van.
But the digital service goes far beyond the normal moving tips. "Because the site is linked directly to our 'offenbach.de' page and also contains content tailored to Offenbach," says Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke. In this way, new residents receive targeted information on both the city's services and all the authorities they need to register with. Around 15,000 people currently move to Offenbach every year.
