Culture, history, culinary delights and more in Frankfurt Rhine-Main

22.03.2022 – "FrankfurtRhineMain - the perfect mix" is the title of the first joint publication of "Destination FrankfurtRhineMain", founded in 2021, which presents the region between Butzbach in the north and Gernsheim am Rhein in the south, Aschaffenburg in the east and Hochheim am Main in the west as one of the ten tourist destinations in the federal state of Hesse.

One of many sights: the castle church in Rumpenheim.

The cities of Frankfurt, Hanau, Darmstadt, Aschaffenburg, the districts of Offenbach, Groß-Gerau, Main-Taunus and Wetterau as well as the city of Offenbach are part of the "Destination Frankfurt RheinMain", which is affiliated to Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main (TCF).

"Culture, history, enjoyment, relaxation and many leisure activities - our region really has a lot to offer," says Offenbach's Lord Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke, "the brochure is a successful invitation to discover and makes you want to think outside the box." The perfect mix combines the city's museums and the Wetterpark with Münzenberg Castle in the Wetterau, the Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt, the historic old town in Seligenstadt with its monastery or basilica and, of course, the neighboring city of Frankfurt with its Museumsufer, the new old town and many other attractive addresses. "It's worth taking a look at the brochure," says Frankfurt's Lord Mayor and Chairman of the destination, Peter Feldmann: "If you want to experience something, you don't have to travel far. FrankfurtRhineMain is one of the most exciting and diverse regions in Germany - with our special history of democracy and internationality, we have the whole world in miniature here. It also boasts wonderful cuisine and an outstanding wine tradition. There really is something for everyone here, from adventurers to pleasure-seekers."
