Two garden sheds burnt down on Erlenbruchstraße

21.01.2024 – Two garden sheds caught fire on an allotment site on Erlenbruchstraße late on Friday evening. At around 9:30 p.m., several emergency calls informed the fire department control center that a large column of smoke could be seen in the garden area.

The alerted forest fire department of the professional fire department arrived at the scene a short time later and found a garden shed on fire. A neighboring garden shed was also affected. It was possible to prevent the fire from spreading to other neighboring garden sheds.

The fire was fought with 3 C-pipes and a total of six breathing apparatus teams and was extinguished by 22:50. The extinguishing work was supported by the Bieber and Waldheim volunteer fire departments.

To ensure fire protection in Offenbach, the Bieber and Waldheim volunteer fire departments manned their fire stations during the operation.
