Person rescued from the Main River and successfully resuscitated
30.11.2024 – The Offenbach fire department received a report of a person in the River Main near Bürgel via the 112 emergency call line at around 3.20 pm. The fire department's water rescue team and an additional boat from the Rumpenheim volunteer fire department were alerted to the Main.
The rescue chain worked as planned. The police were able to provide precise information about where the person was floating in the Main. The fire department divers, who were equipped on the way to the scene, swam to the unconscious man and brought him to a safe shore.
Other emergency services took turns to successfully resuscitate the previously unconscious man. The emergency services, who had also arrived, were able to further stabilize the hypothermic man and transported him to hospital.
