16.04.2024 – A severe storm, which had already been forecast by the meteorologists of the German Weather Service in the afternoon, hit the city area in the evening and caused several call-outs for the Offenbach fire department.

A severe storm, which had already been forecast by the meteorologists of the German Weather Service in the afternoon, hit the city area in the evening and caused several call-outs for the Offenbach fire department.

Between 7:14 pm and 8:40 pm, the alarm was also raised for the three volunteer fire departments in the city area in addition to the Offenbach professional fire department.

Several fallen trees had to be cleared and potentially dangerous situations defused.

There were several incidents within the city limits, including fallen trees and a toppled billboard. Fallen trees were also reported on the A661 highway. At the same time, there was a traffic accident in which fortunately no persons were injured.
