Duplicity operations in the early evening

08.02.2025 – Early Saturday evening at around 8:30 p.m., the Offenbach fire department was alerted in Blücherstraße.

Fire was already visible on the second floor of an apartment building on the approach. A person was still suspected in the apartment on fire. Two fire department teams simultaneously entered the building wearing heavy breathing apparatus to rescue people and fight the fire. A male person was rescued from the apartment by the fire department and was handed over to the rescue service for transportation to a hospital. The fire was then quickly extinguished.

While the operation was still ongoing, another fire alarm was received by the control center. Due to the duplication, this incident was primarily attended by the volunteer fire department, supported by a turntable ladder from the Frankfurt fire department. The incident involved burning bulky waste on an external facade in Strahlenberger Straße. The fire was quickly extinguished here too, preventing it from spreading to the residential building. The ventilation measures proved to be more problematic, as two necessary stairwells were affected. Unfortunately, one female person had to be transported to a nearby hospital with suspected mild smoke inhalation. The remaining people were either not affected or had already left the building before the fire department arrived.

End of operation: 23:00
Cause: currently being investigated by the police
Personal injury: 2 persons
Forces deployed: Offenbach fire brigade, Offenbach fire brigade, Frankfurt fire brigade, police, rescue service
Material damage in €: not known
