Room fire in a semi-detached house

22.06.2025 – In the late evening of the longest day of the year, a fire in a terraced house caused the Offenbach fire department to be called out.

Several callers reported shortly before 10 p.m. that there was a fire on the first floor of a semi-detached house in Birkenlohrstraße in the Musikerviertel district. The first arriving firefighters from the professional fire department were able to confirm this and immediately began an extinguishing attack.

As all residents were able to leave the house independently, the fire department concentrated on fighting the fire. The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the floor above by simultaneously deploying several jet pipes in the interior and exterior attack under breathing protection. One person was presented to the emergency services, but did not need to be transported to hospital.

The professional fire department was supported on site by the Waldheim volunteer fire department, which also provided basic protection in the urban area with an additional fire engine. Once the extinguishing work had been completed, the fire department ended its deployment.
