Kitchen fire in Schopenhauerstraße

A fire broke out in a residential building in Schopenhauerstraße at around 5.24 pm.

A fire broke out in a kitchen for unknown reasons. According to initial findings, the fire was started by a wooden board that had been placed in the immediate vicinity of a switched-on hob and ignited.

The fire department was alerted immediately and quickly brought the fire under control.
Thanks to the rapid intervention, the property damage was limited to the kitchen area.
One person was injured in the incident and was transported to hospital for further medical clarification after initial treatment on site.

In this context, the fire department would like to emphasize that no flammable objects such as wood, paper, plastics or textiles should be placed near heat sources.
This includes in particular hotplates, candles, heaters or similar heat sources. Even low temperatures can be enough to start a fire.
