Traffic accident with four cars involved

11.01.2026 – At around 2:20 p.m., the central control center of the professional fire department received two e-calls and telephone reports of a traffic accident involving four cars and several injured persons on the Odenwaldring.

In response to the reports, the emergency services of the professional fire department were deployed to the scene together with the rescue service. When the fire department arrived, the reports of the traffic accident were confirmed; four cars were involved, one of which was a patrol car. After the initial investigation, five injured persons were identified.

The fire department collected any leaking operating fluids to prevent an environmental hazard and assisted with the initial treatment of the patients. The patients were each taken to an ambulance for further treatment and seen by an emergency doctor. After the initial assessment, all injured persons were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals for further examination.

For the duration of the rescue operations, the Odenwaldring was fully closed in the direction of Mühlheim and traffic was restricted in the direction of Frankfurt.
