1938

The first turntable ladder with a closed driver's cab in Offenbach

On October 11, 1938, the new Dreheiter was handed over to the fire department and demonstrated in the Stadthof. It was put into service on December 31, 1938 (registration date). The internal designation changed over the years. Initially it was called Maschinenleiter 1 or Fahrzeug 2. From 1942 - 1945 it was called KL 1 and finally DL 1 (1945 - 1964). Just like the designation, the Pol. License plate changed frequently. It had four license plates (AH 73-6010/AH 97-5034/HE 19963/Pol-16173) over the years.
