Career test

The career examination takes place at the Hessian State Fire Service School in Kassel.
There, what has been taught and learned in the last 1.5 years is tested.

During the first training phase, six technical papers and two technical essays must be completed in 90 minutes each (examination part 1).

At the end of the first training phase, there is also an assessment of practical skills (examination part 2).

For admission to the career examination for the intermediate fire department, proof must be provided of

• the German Sports Badge in silver,
• the German Lifeguard Badge in bronze,
• the class CE driving license,
• successfully completed training as a paramedic,
• the specialist courses required according to the framework plans in the respective training sections.

The career test can be repeated once.
