"Offenbach, one of the friendliest towns in Germany on the Main, with beautiful, wide streets, a magnificent castle, three churches, an orphanage etc. and 8,000 inhabitants, whose industry has a great reputation." This is how the Damen-Conversations-Lexikon described the town in 1836.
Today, Offenbach is home to almost 130,000 people from over 150 nations. The residents know their way through the city and can find their way around without a second thought. But what do visitors notice? Can they still go into raptures? If so, what about? How and by what do they orient themselves, even if they do not come from distant countries, but from the southern Hessian neighborhood?
The artists from the BBK Darmstadt and writers from the Poseidon literary group explore these questions and explore the vibrant world of Offenbach with open eyes and senses.
