The House of City History is now mobile

Wouldn't it be nice to simply pack up exhibits from the museum and go out onto the streets with workshop and information material to get people excited about the Haus der Stadtgeschichte? After all, the museum offers many exciting exhibitions, lectures and workshops for all ages. This gave rise to the idea of a "Mobile Museum", which is now becoming a reality thanks to a grant of 3,000 euros from the Sparkassen Kulturstiftung Offenbach.

The "Mobile Museum" is a trolley individually adapted to the educational requirements of the museum, which can now take the museum's work into urban society and be used in public spaces, schools or care facilities. As a museum in miniature format, it contains replicas of the most important exhibits of the Haus der Stadtgeschichte, which, unlike the originals in the museum, can and should even be touched. In addition, the "Mobile Museum" naturally offers space for various materials from different museum workshops and has a media compartment for digital offerings.
