The d'Orville doll's house from 1757 - toy and object lesson

The d'Orville doll's house - bourgeois life in the 18th century

The d'Orville doll's house from 1757 is probably the most important exhibit in Offenbach's cultural history of the 18th century. A few years before her death, Offenbach resident Emilie Krafft (1850-1935) remembered the doll's house in her attic. In 1930, she bequeathed it to the local history museum in order to save it from being lost.
