Open Call zur Ausstellung "Achtung: enthält Leben!"

Im Sommer spürt eine Ausstellung im Klingspor Museum den Motiven nach, ein zunächst leeres Buch mit Notizen, Erinnerungen und Gedanken zu füllen. Die unterschiedlichen Herangehensweisen und Gestaltungen dieser Bücher stehen dabei ebenfalls im Fokus.

Wir möchten alle schreibenden, zeichnenden und analog planenden Menschen einladen, uns ihre Notizbücher, Bullet Journals und Tagebücher in Bild und/oder Text als Foto oder sogar als reales Buch für die Ausstellung zu entleihen. Es gibt eine Präsentation im Museum und eine virtuelle Ausstellung auf Instagram.

Für die Ausstellung im Museum freuen wir uns über eingesendete Bücher, die wir tatsächlich zeigen dürfen. Wir wissen, es handelt sich oft um sehr persönliche Werke, so dass wir Wünsche zur Ausstellungssituation berücksichtigen. Dafür bräuchte es mit der Einsendung Angaben zu folgenden Fragen:

·         Darf das Buch offenliegend ausgestellt werden oder nur hinter Glas?
·         Welche Seite darf ausgestellt werden?  
·         Wollen Sie/wollt ihr in einer Beschriftung namentlich genannt werden?
·         Gibt es wichtige Informationen, die wir vermitteln sollen?
·         Dürfen wir das Buch auch in der virtuellen Ausstellung zeigen? Wenn ja, bräuchten wir Angaben zu Bildrechten und Accounts, die wir verlinken sollen, siehe unten.

Neben der Ausstellung im Museum wird es eine virtuelle Ausstellung in Form eines Instagram-Accounts geben, der während der Laufzeit der Ausstellung aktiv ist.
Für die virtuelle Ausstellung können Fotos der Bücher bis zum 21. Juli 2023 per Mail eingereicht werden an dorothee.aderoffenbachde
Hierfür bräuchten wir folgende weitere Informationen:
·         Angabe zu Bildrechten
·         Accounts, die wir verlinken sollen
·         Informationen, warum Sie/ihr das Buch führt. Was gibt es Ihnen/euch?  

Nach der Ausstellung werden alle Einsendungen zurückgeschickt! Die Kosten für die Rücksendung trägt das Museum.
Bei zu hoher Anzahl an Einsendungen behalten wir uns vor, eine Auswahl zu treffen bzw. einen Platz in der virtuellen Ausstellung vorzuschlagen. 

This summer, an exhibition at the Klingspor Museum traces the motives behind filling an initially empty book with notes, memories, and thoughts. The different approaches and designs of these books are also in focus. 
We would like to invite everyone who writes, draws, and plans analogously to lend us their notebooks, bullet journals, and diaries with pictures and/or text as photos or even as real books for the exhibition. There will be a presentation in the museum and a virtual exhibition on Instagram. 

Address and Submission Details
We are happy to receive books that we can actually show for the exhibition in the museum. We know that these are often very personal works, so we take into account your wishes regarding the exhibition situation. For this purpose, pieces of information on the following questions are required with the submission: 
· May the book be displayed openly or only behind glass? 
· Which page may be displayed? 
· Do you want to be named in a caption? 
· Is there any important information that you want us to convey? 
· May we also show the book in the virtual exhibition? If so, we would need information on image rights and accounts to link to, see below. 
· Please provide an e-mail address so we can get back to you if we have any questions

Virtual Exhibition 
In addition to the exhibition in the museum, there will be a virtual exhibition in the form of an Instagram account that will be active for the duration of the exhibition. For the virtual exhibition, photos of the books can be submitted by e-mail until July 21, 2023 to dorothee.aderoffenbachde

· Information about why you keep the book - how does it enrich your life? 

Selection of Exhibits and Return 
After the exhibition, all entries will be returned! The museum bears the costs for the return. If the number of submissions is too high, we reserve our right to make a selection or to propose a place in the virtual exhibition.
