Hot Printing! Offenbach Print Festival on August 22 and 23, 2026

It’s shaping up to be another colorful and diverse weekend: For the third time, the Hot Printing Festival in Offenbach will bring together over 90 artists who explore the theme of printing in a wide variety of ways. A young and dynamic scene will showcase its printed works—from screen-printed posters to traditional letterpress, experimental lithography, and material printing, all the way to comics and zines in vibrant colors straight from the Risograph printer!

You can look forward to booths, workshops, readings, lectures, exhibitions, music, a bar, good food, and exciting conversations. We’ve grown and are now located at the Klingspor Museum, on the museum forecourt, in the courtyard of the Büsingpalais, at the Haus der Stadtgeschichte, and in the print workshop in the Bernardbau. Admission is free!

Printing plays a major role in Offenbach’s history: Lithography was first used commercially in Offenbach at the end of the 18th century for printing sheet music, laying the foundation for the printing of posters and images, which is ubiquitous today. The Klingspor Museum collects modern and contemporary printed materials, and small print shops and initiatives have been setting up shop in the city over the past few years. Printing is simply part of Offenbach’s identity, and exhibitors from the surrounding area are now looking forward to welcoming a diverse range of visitors alongside print enthusiasts from Leipzig, Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, and the Netherlands!

In addition to browsing and shopping, you can of course try your hand at printing here: The hands-on program includes, among other things, postcard printing on the Boston platen press in the print shop, LEGO printing and kitchen lithography, a sock-printing station for screen printing, cyanotype and water lithography, as well as numerous lectures, demonstrations, and readings. The workshops are aimed at print enthusiasts of all ages, whether you’re an experienced printer or a curious beginner—there’s something for everyone!

Food and drinks will be provided by a Hessen food truck serving wraps and burgers from Mutti Catering, Lucy’s Coffee Dreams coffee truck with coffee, cake, and quiches, and the Friends of the Klingspor Museum Association, which will offer beverages.
