Artists' books, typography, handwriting - Welcome to the Klingspor Museum Offenbach for Book Art and Lettering

The Klingspor Museum Offenbach

The Klingspor Museum is a collection and exhibition venue for international book art and typography of the 20th/21st century.

Based on Karl Klingspor's exquisite collection of modern book and type art, the Klingspor Museum collects calligraphy, type specimens, illustrations, picture books, book covers, artist books, graphic design and posters from 1900 to the present day. The vitality of the written and written-image is made visible in changing exhibitions. The museum's library, which is open to the public, serves as a place to read and study.

The Klingspor Museum is a member of both organizations for printing museums in Europe (AEPM) and worldwide (IAPM). It is involved in the management of both bodies. Both organizations strive for networks that increase and exchange knowledge about printing techniques. They promote the conviction that the technology of printing will continue to be a fundamental element of communication in the future and that it will convey its historical roots all the more.
