u-institut: Competence Center for Cultural and Creative Industries, Cultural and Creative Pilots
The u-institut at Bremen University of Applied Sciences is a think tank, planning office and talent incubator all in one. It is a network of experts who deal with entrepreneurial thinking in society, business and culture. In addition to higher education and the social economy, there is a focus on the cultural and creative industries, where the combination of scientific knowledge and practical experience is paramount.
Competence Center for Cultural and Creative Industries
As part of the Federal Government's Cultural and Creative Industries Initiative, a competence center has been created based on the high level of expertise at u-institut, which has the task of making the cultural and creative industries more visible.
Network meetings, workshops, consulting services and expert discussions are intended to provide creative professionals with the necessary skills and abilities to drive their ideas forward and develop them sustainably.
The discussion between science and those involved in practice develops potential for the economy, politics and society. Small and micro enterprises in particular should benefit from the knowledge gained in this way.
Cultural and creative pilots
As part of the Cultural and Creative Industries Initiative, u-institut is also responsible for the annual awarding of the Cultural and Creative Pilots.
Companies, self-employed people, founders and projects from the cultural and creative industries with their interfaces to other sectors are invited to apply.
The project should relate to the slogan "making things better".
