When nature tickles: Pollen count in the changing weather and climate - May 19, 7 p.m.
Pollen is the main trigger of allergic diseases. It is estimated that around 20 to 30 million people in Germany are affected by allergies. In recent years, the pollen season has often started earlier as a result of milder winters. The weather therefore has a decisive influence on the pollen count and the pollen load. But how do we know which pollen is in the air? How can the pollen count be predicted? And how will it change in the future?
A lecture by Dr. Christina Endler from the Center for Medical-Meteorological Research of the German Weather Service.
