The 4 areas of competence
Our class tours, research training and reading promotion projects are based on the competencies for the subject of German laid down in the core curriculum of the Hessian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs.
- Speaking and listening (orality):
Conducting conversations. Listening. Making prepared contributions. - Writing (written):
Planning, writing and revising texts alone and with others. Using writing for learning processes. - Reading and receiving - dealing with literary and non-literary texts/media (oral and written):
Clarify reading/reception expectations. Receiving texts/media. Dealing productively with texts/media. - Examining and reflecting on language and language use
(language as order and system):
Reflect on and use linguistic devices. Reflecting on and using basic linguistic structures and principles.
The four areas of competence are interdependent and interrelated.
In this sense, each offer of the children's library covers several areas of competence.
The allocation of the offers to a competence area is based on the respective emphasis.
