The children's library was delighted to receive a donation of 1,131 euros from WIBank for the event format "Robokids am Mittwoch- Robotics, Gaming und Co.". The donation was collected from guests at the Robert Gernhardt Award ceremony in September and doubled by WIBank to match the amount donated.

Swantje Marschhäuser, head of the children's library, was delighted: "Perhaps we will soon be able to use the donation to start a loanable Robokids service."

At Robokids, children aged seven and over can get to know and try out different educational robots once a month. Michael Reckhard, one of the three managing directors of WIBank, handed over the donation in person and said: "A wonderful place. We need places like this for children and families. They do important work here."

The Robert Gernhardt Prize is a literary prize that has been awarded by the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art and the Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen since 2009.
