Workshop with Nina Dulleck in the school library at Bieber-Waldhof school

In elementary school, the school library is the place for the first reading experiences, it awakens the joy of reading and teaches the first library and media skills.

The School Librarian's Office (Schulbibliothekarische Arbeitsstelle | SBA) of the City Library looks after the school libraries of the primary school library network and is the point of contact for setting up and reorganizing the school library.

Our service:

  • Selection and structure of the media stock
  • Ordering the media
  • Indexing media via the city library's online catalog
  • An on-site service in the school library
  • Events in the school library to promote reading, writing and information skills. The activities are aligned with the curriculum and are based on the skills set out in the core curriculum of the Hessian Ministry of Culture, Education and Opportunities.
