City of Offenbach

Two free outdoor courses offered by the Offenbach Adult Education Center and the City Health Department

02.06.2026

In June, "Fit in the Park" and the "Adventure Movement Course" are two free outdoor exercise programs. Young people aged 16 and over and adults who want to get active in the fresh air and do something for their health are invited. The courses are organized by the Offenbach Adult Education Centre and the City Health Department and are part of the city's "Offenbach gets moving" initiative. This campaign originated from the health promotion planning group in order to strengthen this area in Offenbach in the long term. The offers are intended to awaken the joy of movement and at the same time make the public green and exercise areas in Offenbach an active experience. The offers are free of charge and without registration. In case of rain, thunderstorms or storms, the dates are canceled.

Important note: The activities are aimed at health care and prevention. People with health restrictions are advised to seek medical advice in advance.

The offers: Fit in the park - full-body workout for beginners

45 minutes of training in the fresh air: this varied full-body workout is aimed specifically at beginners. In 45 minutes, all major muscle groups are addressed through a combination of strength, endurance and mobility exercises.

In addition to improving fitness, the main focus is on having fun exercising together in the Die Grünen.

You will need a sports mat or a large towel, sports clothing and something to drink.

Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 5 to 5:45 p.m.

Course leader: Johannes Wiegand

Meeting point: Büsingpark at the small, white round temple

The offers: Experience movement course - introduction to the green ring

The course offers a practical introduction to the exercise trail in Grünring Gravenbruchweg. The individual pieces of equipment and their safe and effective use will be presented. After a joint warm-up program, there will be an opportunity to try out the equipment independently. The trainer will be available to answer questions and give individual tips. The aim of the event is to motivate people to get to know the public fitness facilities, use them regularly and thus promote their own health and fitness.

Sportswear and something to drink are required.
