The Bildungspunkt moves to the adult education center
The Bildungspunkt, the central contact point for education, further education and career guidance in Offenbach, will be located on the first floor, room E36, in the vhs Offenbach (Berliner Str. 77) from March 1, 2026.
The low-threshold advice center, which was previously located in the rooms of the EKO Anlaufstelle on Platz der Deutschen Einheit, is thus moving closer to the existing educational advice services offered by the vhs. This makes it even easier to find the Bildungspunkt.
People seeking advice can ask all their questions about personal further education or catching up on school qualifications at the Bildungspunkt. Anyone who wants to reorient themselves professionally and develop new perspectives will receive support here, as will those seeking advice who are planning to return to work. People who want to build on a profession they have learned or practised abroad or have their school or professional qualifications recognized will receive answers, as will those looking for financial support for further training. If concerns cannot be clarified directly at the Bildungspunkt, it is possible for those seeking advice to be referred to a further education center so that they can receive targeted, tailored support. Advice is individual, neutral and open-ended.
A competent team of (further) education advisors from the Employment Agency, the adult education center with the HESSENCAMPUS Offenbach as well as the "ProAbschluss" initiative of the state of Hesse and the Bildungswerk für Wirtschaft (GfW) are available at the Bildungspunkt. Advice is available free of charge and without registration during opening hours (Tuesdays from 1 to 5 pm and Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm). Interpreter support is available if required.
The contact point is aimed at all those interested in education, employees, jobseekers, as well as companies and businesses with a need for employee qualification and in-company training.
In 2024, the Offenbach Employment Agency, the adult education center with the HESSENCAMPUS Offenbach and the Offenbach Chamber of Industry and Commerce joined forces to create the Offenbach Education Point.
