It aims to create an environment that actively promotes and supports the physical and mental health of all those involved.

The survey results presented in the report document the current status of health-promoting organizational development among providers of daycare facilities in Hesse. The results are based on a survey of 73 provider representatives on structures, measures and challenges in the area of health promotion.

BWP vocational training in science and practice: Democracy education

What contribution can vocational training make to this? This question is explored in the current issue of the specialist journal "Berufsbildung in Wissenschaft und Praxis", BWP for short. In articles by Friedrich Hubert Esser, Hermann Veith, Monika Hackel and many other authors, the question is examined in many different ways.

Queers&Friends Café - 15-day print workshop: focus on creativity and queer art

In summer 2024, young people experienced a unique creative adventure at the Queers&Friends Café in KJK Sandgasse: two workshops led by artists Katharina and Laura Hantke combined creative printing techniques with an important focus on queer history and identity.

Part 1: Summer vacation workshop (10 days in August)

During the summer vacation kick-off, participants had the opportunity to discover different printing techniques. From Lego printing and riso printing to kitchen lithography and collages. Working with Polaroid and Quickprint cameras was particularly exciting, as they were able to integrate their own photographic works into the art. The event concluded with a vernissage in the Queers&Friends Café, where the works of the young artists were exhibited.

Part 2: Queer history and poster printing (3 weekends in November)

After the summer break, on three additional weekends in November, works were further developed and queer history was explored in greater depth. At the beginning of each weekend, there was an input that introduced the visitors to topics of queer history and initiated a reflection on queer identities. Afterwards, the participants translated personal topics and concerns into posters. This part of the workshop provided space to visually represent social issues and their own experiences. A special highlight was the visit to the Eat-It drag brunch in Frankfurt, a safe space for queer art and people. This outing strengthened the sense of community and provided a valuable opportunity to experience the queer art scene in a safe environment.

The exhibition: Posters in public space

The results of the November workshops were printed on poster paper and exhibited in the Intercontinental Gardens and in the Mathildenviertel neighborhood management office. Together with the young people, the art was thus brought into the public sphere, which not only promoted creative expression but also sent a strong signal for visibility and queer diversity.
