Public order office

Important information:

The Offenbach Public Order Office will not be holding open consultation hours until further notice. We kindly ask you to submit your concerns either by telephone, e-mail or letter post. The office staff can be reached regularly from Monday to Thursday from 08:00 - 15:00 and on Fridays from 08:00 - 12:00. The municipal police can be contacted around the clock.

The naturalization office will move to the citizens' office on 01.03.2024.
The move will change the procedure for naturalization. For this reason, an application can only be made by appointment with immediate effect.
It is no longer possible to send the documents by post.
From March 18, you can book appointments for initial consultations and applications via the appointment scheduler (where you will find information on the types of appointments). Appointments to hand over certificates will be available from the end of March.
All applicants who have already submitted documents will be contacted by the Citizens' Office.

Public order office

The Public Order Office of the City of Offenbach am Main provides a wide range of services in the public sector. These include commercial matters, weapons, explosives, hunting and fishing permits, permits for events such as trade fairs, markets and public festivals, the lost and found office, permits to keep dangerous dogs and much more.

In the area of traffic, the public order office issues exceptions to the road traffic regulations, such as disabled parking permits, approves heavy goods vehicles and issues permits for the use of public areas (special uses). With its field service, it monitors compliance with traffic regulations and, if necessary, imposes warnings and fines.

The city police, which is part of the Public Order Office, is responsible for maintaining public safety and order in Offenbach am Main. The city police ensure that you feel safe and thus make an important contribution to the quality of life in Offenbach am Main.

Other departments of the Public Order Office deal with violations of waste or emission regulations and intervene when people's health is at risk or significant material assets are at risk (neglect of housing, animal pests). In order to prevent dangers from arising in the first place, the public order office initiates or promotes numerous prevention projects and operates the office for municipal prevention.
