The reason for this was the conversion of the Kaiserlei Circle - and OPG was commissioned with the project management for this complex development measure.
In 2012, the city of Offenbach, the federal government, the state and the city of Frankfurt decided to upgrade the area, including the conversion and new construction of the connecting roads. The central hub in the direction of the freeways and airport will be converted into a double intersection in order to be prepared for additional traffic from the direction of the new Honsell Bridge and the European Central Bank. By eliminating the traffic circle and relocating lanes, Offenbach will gain around two hectares of valuable commercial space. Construction began in 2017.
