Picture gallery of the Käthe Kollwitz School in Offenbach after renovation and refurbishment in 2019.

The extensive construction and renovation of the Käthe Kollwitz School took around three years and cost 23.45 million euros. Four million euros in funding was available. The client was the Offenbach City Council, represented by the Office for Urban Planning, Transport and Construction Management. Bernhardt+Partner from Darmstadt were commissioned as architects.

Eleven planners and 60 companies were involved. The vocational school was completely renovated and the technical facilities optimized. A new room program was implemented, the buildings were made accessible for the disabled and the windows and facades were renewed. A special feature of the construction was the section-by-section remediation of pollutants during ongoing operations.
