Extension for Buchhügel elementary school
Renovation and extension of the Buchhügel elementary school from 2009 to 2011. The school was extended and modernized for contemporary and all-day operation, taking ecological standards into account.
The costs amounted to around 10 million euros and the client was the Offenbach City Council, represented by the Office for Urban Planning, Transport and Construction Management. Voigt & Herzig Architekten&Ingenieure from Darmstadt were commissioned as architects.
During the construction phase, a two-storey container facility was erected as an interim solution. Eight planners and a total of 27 companies were involved in the construction of the elementary school. Funding of 7.7 million euros was available, while the city's own funds amounted to 2.3 million euros.
