Bieber elementary school: New Waldhof branch

New construction of the Waldhof branch of Bieber elementary school from 2012 to 2014. The elementary school has two classes and is built to passive house standards with a cafeteria, library and differentiation rooms.

The client was the municipal authorities of the city of Offenbach, represented by the Office for Urban Planning, Transport and Construction Management. Waechter + Waechter Architekten from Darmstadt were commissioned as architects. Thirteen planners and a total of 35 companies were involved in the construction. The new building cost 7.5 million euros.

The new building was constructed as a passive house. A two-storey container facility was erected as an interim solution during the construction period.
