The sports facilities in Offenbach must be carefully cared for and maintained in order to avoid the loss of use of pitches during the season. Only pitches that are regularly maintained and can regenerate sufficiently can meet the demands of the athletes.
Together with the city's clubs, GBM works continuously to ensure maximum playing comfort while keeping the pitches as available as possible. In addition to the regeneration work, GBM takes care of the maintenance of the technical facilities of the 12 sports fields in the city of Offenbach. 12 GBM groundsmen are regularly on site. The GBM groundsmen are in constant contact with the users of the sports facilities, provide equipment and support organizers of sporting events.
Operation at the Schultheis pond
Maintaining the Schultheis pond is one of GBM's tasks: before the bathing season, employees cut back trees and bushes on the shore, check the functionality of signage, paths, parking spaces and other facilities and restore them if necessary.
A screening machine cleans and loosens the sand on the beach. GBM also takes care of cleanliness and tidiness during the bathing season: employees clean the sanitary facilities, cut back algae, maintain the lawn and instruct the lifeguard if bathing is permitted.
