Playground inspection
On behalf of the city, the playground inspectors from GBM Gebäudemanagement GmbH ensure order and safety on Offenbach's playgrounds and football pitches.
Throughout the year, GBM's playground inspectors check, maintain and repair the facilities and equipment to make it safe for children to play, discover and run around. The city's playgrounds are inspected at short and regular intervals by means of visual and wear and tear inspections. Once a year, GBM carries out a main inspection of all the city's playgrounds and checks the safety condition of the equipment.
The team of playground inspectors consists of GBM employees who have completed specialist training courses in addition to their technical professions. They look for, find and rectify obvious damage and hidden dangers.
GBM works with the special "Punchbyte g-diag playground" software to better manage the 250 playgrounds and football pitches in its area of responsibility. It makes it possible to track which playground and, above all, which play equipment is in which condition at any time. GBM uses the software to document every inspection, the condition found, the defects and their rectification. This makes it possible to determine where defects were found and when they were rectified. Another advantage: the data can be recorded and saved simultaneously from several locations.
