Like the playhouse and the slide, the climbing frame or the hammock swing, the legendary reptile is made of wood and is one of the play attractions of the new green corridor, which winds its way through the northern part of the An den Eichen development district along with an asphalted footpath.
The narrow park between Straße an den Linden and Ottilia-Carolina-Moufang-Straße has now been completed by the public utility company OPG and handed over to the City of Offenbach's Office for Planning and Construction. OPG Offenbacher Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH developed and marketed the new development area on behalf of the city.
Many newly planted trees line the path through the residential area, and there are also numerous seating areas and a group of tables for picnics as well as a sufficient number of litter garbage cans to keep the area as clean as possible. Wooden beams at the edges of the green strip are also used for sitting or balancing, but are primarily intended to protect the open space from wild parking. The public utility company ESO Stadtservice GmbH has been commissioned with the care and maintenance of the green space.
The northern section continues the central green corridor from the south of the residential area. Both sections can be accessed from the street An den Linden through a metal pergola entwined in the summer.
Apart from a few remaining works, the northern green corridor has been completed. The two play stations, which are slightly separated from each other and cater to different age groups, can now be used before the Easter holidays. There is also a football pitch for older children and teenagers not far away at Änne-Salzmann-Platz.
