Events in the Offenbach Kultursalon

Since June 18, events, theater and concerts have once again been taking place in the Kleiner Offenbacher Kultursalon.

A warm welcome! The Capitol Theater has been welcoming guests again since June 18.
Cozy atmosphere: The small cultural salon is located on the upper floor of the Capitol.

The t-raum kicked things off that evening with a staged reading of the classics "From the Diary of Adam and Eve by Mark Twain", and on June 19, the Berry Blue Quartet took to the stage with "Swing Time". In addition to theater and music, the program now also includes readings and magic (the constantly updated overview can be found at the bottom of the page).

"We are delighted that we are able to revive the Kultursalon after a seven-month break and that freelancers in the music, theater and culture sectors finally have an opportunity to perform," says Capitol Managing Director Birgit von Hellborn. With the support of Stadtwerke Offenbach and the Freunde des Capitol-Theaters e.V., the Capitol is making the Max Dienemann Saal on the upper floor available to artists free of charge during the coronavirus pandemic, with a permanent set-up and a cozy living room atmosphere.

Admission for vaccinated, recovered and tested persons

"We are currently planning for 44 visitors," announces von Hellborn. "Of course, everything is pandemic-compliant: access is restricted to those who have been fully vaccinated, those who have recovered and those who have been tested on a daily basis, each with the relevant proof. In addition, the familiar social distancing rules apply and wearing a medical mask is also mandatory." The hygiene concept already proved its worth from June to October 2020. The team on site uses the Luca app for registration - those who do not (yet) have this can also use alternative options.

Ticket sales are organized independently by the performers in the Kultursalon and all proceeds are retained. For further dates - the current schedule extends until August 2021 - cultural professionals can apply using a form available HERE (opens in a new tab) and at www.capitol-online.de (opens in a new tab). The conditions for a performance can also be found here.

The large hall in the Capitol will reopen if the coronavirus regulations allow significantly more than 100 guests. "We very much hope that this will be the case from fall 2021," says Birgit von Hellborn.
