Festival of Lights 2025

An atmosphere like a wonderful midsummer night's dream: this is the Offenbach Festival of Lights, one of the most traditional and largest open-air classical music summer concerts in the Rhine-Main region. An entire expansive inner city park shimmers with tens of thousands of candles, providing the unique backdrop for a dreamlike evening. And as if that wasn't beautiful enough, there's also a big full-length concert.

The Capitol Symphony Orchestra takes on the evening as one of its favorite tasks, as the orchestra's style is based on a good 25 years of experience in the most diverse varieties of crossover - and this is the musical framework for this very special concert event. Beethoven
and Beatles, Mozart and Metallica, Brahms and Das Boot - and countless other unusual combinations that are guaranteed to be highly entertaining.

The Offenbach Symphony Orchestra has a lot of fun with this kind of stylish mix and cultivates this variety throughout the year with guests who usually perform such music at the London 'Proms' or in Manhattan's clubs and ballrooms. The programs are made up of crisp overtures and powerful rock classics, lyrical film music and emotional arias. Many thousands of people come to the park between the neo-baroque Büsingpalais and Kaiserstraße every year to experience this, the candles lovingly grouped into motifs by the Offenbach clubs and the gripping music.

Lovingly created food and wine offerings from restaurateurs and clubs are just as much a part of the experience: fine wines and delicious culinary delights are always in abundance - the best conditions for a pretty perfect evening.
