BliO sponsors celebrate the end of the year

10.12.2015 – The sponsors of the "Better living in Offenbach" project celebrated the end of an exciting year and the implementation of many projects with an evening in black and white.

More and more Offenbach citizens are taking the initiative and making a voluntary contribution to their city as sponsors under the auspices of the "Better living in Offenbach" project.

Around 85 helpers are now active throughout the city, from Westend to Rumpenheim and from Nordend to Bieber. They green verges, keep playgrounds clean, look after graves in the old cemetery, sponsor monuments such as the little matchstick car at Wilhelmsplatz and much more.

In recent years, it has become a nice tradition to thank them once a year for their commitment. For this reason, the head of the "Better living in Offenbach" project Sabine Süßmann and GBO Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft Offenbach mbH invited all sponsors to a joint dinner at the end of the year.

This year, the meeting took place in the canteen of the German Weather Service under the motto "Black and White". Guests were encouraged to attend the reception dressed in black and white. And so the evening presented a festive, nostalgic picture. Melodies from the 1930s and 1940s were played to accompany the festive three-course meal. After the meal, the movie "Casablanca" was shown and many of the guests reminisced over a glass of bourbon whiskey.
