Tea room behind a new façade
19.10.2023 – In late summer, the municipal utility subsidiary GBO Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft mbH renovated part of the façade of its property at Bismarckstraße 149. Diakonie Frankfurt und Offenbach has rented the first floor here as an interim solution for its tearoom.
The current premises in Gerberstrasse are in serious need of renovation. According to current plans, the service for homeless people and those affected by poverty will remain there until 2025.
Here, diagonally opposite the main train station, they will be able to get pastries and drinks as well as a warm place to stay. Guests can also have their mail sent to this address.
The decisive factors for Diakonie Frankfurt and Offenbach in choosing the premises were the good location for the service, the proximity to the associated specialist advice center in Luisenstraße 3, the furnishings and the layout.
